In 1867, Ess Brothers & Sons, Inc. was established in Chaska, Minnesota as a blacksmith and wagon shop.  In the 1940's, Ess Brothers started manufacturing municipal manhole and catchbasin castings.  Along with manholes and catch basin castings Ess Brothers sells aluminum hatches, trench grating, tree grates, HDPE (plastic) grade rings, manhole paving rings, and inflow and infiltration products such as Infi-Shield Seal and Flex-Seal.  Ess Brothers & Sons has a complete metal fabricating and machine shop on site. The headquarters has moved to Loretto, Minnesota.  It remains a family operation now in its sixth generation of ownership.  A supplier of:  Manholes, catch basin castings, aluminum hatches, manhole paving rings, trench & tree grating, metal fabricating, HDPE (plastic) manhole adjustment rings, internal seals, external seals to prevent inflow and infiltration. Member of MUCA and NUCA.
