Since Class V wells (shallow disposal wells) are constructed
to inject fluids into the ground often utilizing gravity as
a means of injecting to a shallow depth, are these land Traut Companies
uses a concern that must be addressed with a public
water supply system’s WHP plan? The short answer is— www.trautwells.com
yes. While the shallow nature of the contaminant may
not be considered a true contamination risk for deeper, Phone 320-251-5090

The USEPA has already sent staff through Minnesota a few
years back in order to locate Class V wells and have been
working with property owners to either permit the Class
V well, or to change operation to conform to federal law.
In order to keep local officials in the communication loop,
they are often notified by the USEPA when either work is
being done with a business in the area.
The subject of underground injection wells and Class V
wells is deep (pardon the pun) and there’s far too many
details to include in this article. If I’ve included just enough
